Folk Music: Joe Bone Old-Time Mountain Music - Mandolin, Guitar, & Banjo and a whole lot of tapping of your toes.

Joe Bone's motto is "Get back to the basics." Bob Murphy, Greg Allen and Matthew Sabatella search for the root sound of traditional rural string music by playing in the older styles on fiddle, banjo, guitar and other rustic instruments used for entertainment by folks long ago.

Performances delve deep into our American heritage of old time fiddling, gospel and secular songs and the simple musical rhythms that our elders danced to. Bob, Greg, and Matthew have more than 85 combined years of learning, playing and teaching the old styles of homemade music. Bob has won a number of fiddle and banjo awards, has performances at the Florida Folk Festival dating back to 1984 and has produced Appalachian instrument demonstrations at schools and community centers.

Greg is an accomplished old-time musician on many instruments, has DJ'd a roots music show in Philadelphia for many years and was honored with first place in the rustic division of the Florida Fiddlers Contest in 2018. Matthew also performs traditional folk songs and old-time music with the Rambling String Band. In 2019 he won the Old-Time Banjo Competition at the Florida Folk Festival.
